The Philadelphia Blazers were an ice hockey franchise in the World Hockey Association (WHA) for the 1972–73 WHA season based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. The team's home ice was the Philadelphia Convention Hall and Civic Center. The franchise was originally intended to be based in Miami, Florida and called the Screaming Eagles, but due to money problems and a lack of a suitable arena, the franchise instead moved to Philadelphia.

Team Info The Blazers were originally planned to be the Miami Screaming Eagles in the inaugural season of the WHA in 1972. Construction of the new arena had to be stopped and without a home in Miami, the team became the Philadelphia Blazers. After financial difficulties and poor attendance in Philadelphia, the team was sold after just one season. The Blazers were once again moved and this time became the Vancouver Blazers.
